THIS IS PERSONAL , BUT I NEED TO KNOW !!!!! I DRANK THAT AWFUL STUFF TO MAKE ME "GO" AT 5 P.M. AND AGAIN AT 8 LIKE THE DOCTOR SAID AND IT IS 10 O'CLOCK AND I HAVE NOT "GONE " !!! I'M AFRAID IT IS NOT GOING TO WORK AND I CAN'T HAVE MY SURGERY IN THE MORNING !!! CAN ANY OF YOU TELL ME WHEN THIS STUFF IS SUPPOSED TO WORK ??? JUDY

My advice: If it does not work, just go in and say nothing. You did your part! They are not doing surgery on that end of you anyway! My WLS doc does not even require any of that! Just liquids for the day before. Don't sweat it. Joy

MY ADVICE.. call the dr.. he has an answering service and since he'd rather tell ya what to do tonight than have to cancel tomorrow I'd say to call him.. This is important.... As for them not working on that end and you saying nothing... this is FOOLISH They are working on your digestive tract and your bowels will be involved. All dr's have different protocols and different reasons for their requirements!!!! You don't want to not say a word and get to surgery and have a life threatening complication because you "did your part" As a patient doing your part is being pro-active in your own care and making the surgeon aware of whatever is going on. He may tell you to use another method or he may not be concerned with this at all. Please let this be his call since there are NO MEDICAL PERSONNEL on this board who can advise you and keep you safe..... Good Luck!!!

Wow, you're at it again. Kathy, maybe you could try giving your advice without getting personal and quoting from other posts here, invalidating them, and being rude. Joy is a smart lady, and she was simply giving advice. No one on this board has to take any of the advice that's offered. They should weigh it, talk to professionals, and then make a decision. That's a no-brainer. This is a community. If we're going to keep it a nice place to be, we all have to follow some simple rules of courtesy. This is the second time (that I know about) in as many weeks that you have not done so. I've read your profile and some of your old posts and it seems you've left several other boards on this site because of this same type of behavior. I guess they didn't like it either. There are gentle ways to offer your own advice without tearing down the opinions of others. Maybe you don't realize that you are being rude. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure you're frustrated because you weren't approved for the surgery after so long. Again, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. But please keep an eye on your snide behavior. It takes a toll on the camaraderie and peace that we work hard for and that we enjoy and need here. Thank you, Eve

Wow you're at it again EVE NAIVE... acting as judge and jury.. I wasn't being rude and never implied Joy is not a smart lady.. IN fact Joy and I have never had any problems and even she didn't have a problem with what I posted... YOU however see it as your duty to jump right in and cause the problem........As for not taking medical advice from this board being a no brainer a lot of people really do depend on this board and don't feel like calling the dr for every question and concern. YOU say YOU read my profile... Well NO one can say they have read your profile since it's BLANK... SO you come on here with your fake name and no profile and decide to tell me what to do???? I don't think so.... As for you stating I have left several other boards on this site .. THAT'S A LIE... There's one other board on here I have posted to and I stopped going there because it got all "Cliquesh" and it wasn't fair to everyone. They didn't like people who don't agree with them and anyone who challenges their opinions. I have been asked back there numerous times and won't go... HOW WEIRD IS IT THAT YOU SHOW UP OVER HERE DAYS AFTER I UPDATE MY PROFILE ABOUT JOINING THE MARCHERS AND YOU SEEM TO SEEK ME OUT AND GIVE LOUD LONG OPINIONS??? FAKE NAME... NO PROFILE... NO PIC.... AND LOTS OF LECTURING..... I am not going to keep doing battle on this board.... I have emailed you and so have other people on this board you have offended. Ya know, Eve, there's a BIG difference between you and Kathy: she's a "Marcher", you're not. You simply don't have what it takes. You never did. I read, re-read, and then read Kathy's reply to Judy a few MORE times to see where your allegation of 'rude' came in. It didn't. Kathy was emphatic about Judy not deceiving her doctor. Follow that up with Connie's reply about peritonitis, and Kathy seems to have been 'righteous' in her near-panic that Judy would decieive her surgeon about this. No, I saw no "rude" behavior in Kathy's reply, I saw genuine concern that someone may be setting themselves up for problems and Kathy's desperation to try to prevent that. Hopefully, later today, everyone will find out the scary things that the use of NSAIDs can do to us post-op, as someone who's found out personally what they can do will be posting their experience - as soon as they have enough energy to do so. They just got out of the hospital AGAIN. Kathy and I and many, many others have warned about this, to consult with your physicians. So, have we been rude about this, too? I'm not going to slime you as you feel so free to always slime Kathy (yes, she's correct...there seems to be a pattern here). I've actually taken WAY more time on you than I'd intended. However, I'd suggest you go back and read Kathy's profile again...this time with comprehension. Or perhaps you can have someone who can comprehend what they read give you the "Cliff's Notes" review of it so you can 'get it' correctly. Furthermore, until you can establish some credibility on YOUR part/profile, may I respectfully suggest you refrain from passing judgement on others? Kathy has more integrity, concern, and honesty in her baby toe than you'll ever have in your entire existence. Nope, you're not a Marcher, Eve. You never will be.
