Has anyone been diagnosed with hypothyroidism? I had test yesterday after months of tingling in hands, face and tongue, forgetfulness, being cold, having dry skin... I've had all of my vitamin and mineral levels checked and they are all in normal range - doc discovered yesterday that my thyroid level had not been checked in a year so did a blood test. Just wondering...

Hi Donna, I have not had this problem, but it is a good reminder to all of us to have blood work done regularly. My daughter has thyroid issues (not WLS related). Your symptoms sound familiar. Fortunately, it is something that is very correctable with medication. I think that it is fairly common too--so glad they figured it out for you! You may find that when you get back to normal thyroid levels, that the increased energy levels have a positive effect on your weight loss too! I do have the forgetfulness, but attribute it to the swiss-cheese brain syndrome of middle age! Good luck to you! Joy
