Calories?
Is anyone out there anymore?
Marilyn I know you'll be reading! I'm curious as to what everyone eats and if they are keeping track of calories, fats, protein, all of that anymore?
I still weigh & measure and write things down during the week. I'm eating about 1300 to 1500 calories a day. I've still not gone over to eating any sugar products. If I want a treat I'll use sugar free but know that they have calories too so I count them. I'm not a big break eater at all anymore. Odd that use to be my favorite treat way back when. Toast was so yummy. I still like the smell of it but bread feels still like it will swell up in there and I won't be able to get anythign else in.
I'm drinking water, decaf coffee & tea, NO soda. I use to say that pepsi I should take intravenous I drank it all the time! Now I just don't care of the bubbles they make my tummy feel odd. Its not the same at all flat so I don't drink it. I am addicted to dunkin decaf when before I could take or leave coffee.
My eating habits have changed big time. I was a child who never ate vegi's now I love salads, carrots!!!!! my eyes shoudl be great! And squash! ooooo butternut squash yum!
I can eat more now over 2 years out so I know my stomach is bigger than after the surgery. There are still times when if I eat too fast or don't chew the food good or if something is dry that it feels like its stuck. Then every once in a while a egg will fill me up.
I guess I'm right were everyone else is I'm sure all of you *****ad this are thinking yes we are all the same right now.
I excersize regularly at least 4 times a week at curves then work out at home at night. still can't seem to lose that extra 5 to 7 pounds and get to the lowest weight that i had ever in mylife gotten to after the surgery. I'm not below 160 now the lowest was 157. but i am wearing size 8's & 10's. thats thin and i feel good. thats the best.
anyone else stilllook in the mirror and see the fat person? i stillthink i am fat! I guess thats something that is still goign to take some more time to go away.
If anyone is out there lurkiing.... I'm sure that your all doing great but it would be nice to read something from each and everyone of you.
good luck and take care,
Pam
We are in the same boat, I still look at me and feel I'm the biggest fat person I was. I went to my dr. yesterday and lost at least 2 pounds yesssssss! 2 pounds wow thta for me was not so good I thought it will be more than that. but he told me it's something not gaining back. I wish I could do like you go to the gym do exersise . I'm still watching my intakes, trying to be far away of the candies, bread and food that I know is a no no for us. THanks for come and post again. I need to see this moving again.
Pam,
Yep still here everyday. I don't post that often but I'm here checking on everyone. I still count calories and most of the time protein but not much else. I still try to get in 90 to 100 grams of supplemental protein every day.
There's still a fat girl there when I look down at my body...but the mirror tells a different tale. Skinny girl in the mirror...fat girl from my personal perspective. Weird huh?
I got down to 125 but had no boobs and no butt and my jeans hurt me where they came across my hips bones. I looked bad even to myself. So I made myself gain back 10 pounds, then I gained another 5 that I didn't want and those bad boys don't seem to want to come back off. Geesh!! Who would have thought that 3 years ago I'd be gretchin' about 5 extra pounds!!!
Oh yeah!! I still dump!!! And since I haven't been able to throw-up since I had WLS I have to ride out each episode. It used to be every time I eat, but is generally just maybe once a day now. My pouch is still small, 6 to 8 ounces will fill me up. I still eat on a little plate with a little fork. That at least has helped to keep me from dumping after every meal!
That's my update.
