It's my birthday and I'm such a LOSER!

In the past I have said this many years - spending birthday's alone, or with my daughter, too young to really understand or notice. This year it has a totally different meaning though. This year they are good words not bad ones. Still spending it alone, but that's ok, cause lb by lb my life is changing for the better! I'm 2 weeks out and down 17.5 lbs. Now it's nice to be called a Loser I gave myself the best birthday present ever this year - WLS! mgm

Mine's tomorrow (31st). "Aw, come on Mom! If you would've waited just five more hours, I could have had DIAMOND for my birthstone!" One of my [former] favorites is the icing on bakery-birthday cakes. My husband and I call it "lard icing." They usually use mostly Crisco to make it - I don't care - I love[d] it!! Anyway, I saw the most beautiful ceramic slice of birthday cake at a Hallmark store. I'm hoping my hubby caught the hint and gets that for me this year for my birthday cake. Our office always "does" birthday cake and everyone's wondering what we will do this year for mine. I told 'em to bring a cake, enjoy it, and not worry that I am not having any. I've had too much cake in my life already - ya gotta stop somewhere. Happy Birthday to all you MARCHers! L Y N N
