One Month Out!
Hi Everyone,
I had my surgery on March 3rd. Its been a rough road. Big time dizzyness and weakness. I am starting to feel better. Cant stand puree foods just typing it makes me nauseous! been living off of broth and cheese. LOL! SOOOOO Thirsty all the time
I bought these Isopure protein drinks comes in punch, grape, blue rasberry, apple melon, icy orange. Got them at the vitamin shoppe but im sure other places have them there are 40 grms of protein in each. For some strange reason drinking water hurts me??? weird huh? its like my belly cramps or something weird kind of hurt. I hear it happens to alot of people. Hey when you started to eat regular foods what type of foods did you start eating and did it hurt you when you started? I am so ready to eat normal foods!!! Darn this thirst!!!! Lots of love to you guys!

Refried beans seem to work consistently well for me. I mix in cheese (velveeta lite) and some taco sauce to give it some zip. Of course, with a pouch named Pepe, I guess Mexican food was a natural! Yogurt and cottage cheese work well. Bluebunny yogurt is sweetened with splenda and has not been any problem to me.
Good luck!

I feel the same way abou****er. I cannot drink plain water. I get that stuck feeling in my chest and have to keep burping. I live off SF koolaid. I think my tongue will be stained red forever! I love the refried beans. Add some chz and go. I also like eggs. They fill me up the most though so be careful to chew and dont over eat. 1 egg makes me as full as an all you can eat buffet. I am supposed to start fish tomorrow but I have been eating it for a few days. Tuna is doing good and I had Broiled shrimp today.I havent had any problem with food so far thank goodness. Just take it easy and start off slow. GOod luck to you
