My wedding ring fell off!!
Well they have been twisting around my finger for a couple of days and today the diamond ring fell off when I had my hand straight down by my side!!! I'm gonna have to take it to the jewelers but I dont know if I should do that since I havent lost all the weight Im going too and I will probably end up getting it resized again. So I will see how long it is before the band falls off(its a size smaller) and just wear the band for awhile!!

Hi Nicole!
When my wedding rings became loose enough to fall off I bought a nice gold chain to wear them on. I decided that I wasn't going to spend the money to have them resized until I had lost most of my weight. Just an idea I thought I'd pass along!
God Bless!!!

Wow Nicole,
That is just great!
I had to have my rings cut off before I went in the hospital
. I am glad now that I did because my hands puffed really bad with the IV an I would have been in major pain AND if they hospital had cut them, they would not have taken the care that the jeweler took with them.
I will probably be ringless for a year before I have them put back together in their 'new' size.

Wow, Nicole...way cool!
You have a couple of options for a temporary fit:
1) You can get a 'spacer'...it's like a little bar that curls around the band at both ends of the bar. They're minimal cost, and once you've reached your 'goal' and have slender 'model' hands, you can have your rings permanently sized down.
2) You can have two tiny gold (or platinum, if your rings are platinum) balls soldered to the INSIDE of the bands. They work remarkably well if you're going to keep losing weight...they're take up JUST enough space to keep the ring from sliding off. Again, it's minimal cost, especially if you have some "scrap gold" to bring to the jeweler...that way you're only paying for labor, not for 'material'. I've had this done to several rings, started off with my paternal grandmother's engagement ring...from Russia. It's "russian red gold" and I'll have no part of it being cut.
Jewelry is probably my biggest 'interest' - I used to facet stones from roughs and do lost-wax casting from original molds. Rings are my favorite piece of jewelry!

Wow Nicole...that is awesome!! I would not get it resized just yet. Maybe put it on a chain? I can't wait until mine gets looser!! Then again, I have noticed .... my wedding ring fits like it did on my wedding day instead of breaking circulation to my fingers lol CONGRATS!!
