HI I had surgery last Friday, I just came home yesterday, I had a bad case of high blood pressure for 4 days after surgery, I have had a pain in my stomach below my rib cage since I woke up from surgery, I was on morphene and that did not help the pain, I also am having leg pains, and jerking of my legs and arms when I am trying to sleep. I have not have a good experience at all. A leak test was performed, and there is not a leak, also had a cat scan, and it show that I had left over fluid around my stomach that the doctor did not suction out, also the xray shows that my new stomach is full of air, I am walking hunched over and due to stomach pain and my legs hurt, any similar experineces? Wow Tori - I'm so sorry you are having a hard time. Is there anything they can do to help disappate the air and fluid? Sounds like they didn't do a very good job. I hope you are okay otherwise and that this won't be serious for you... Dina

Hi Tori, I am so sorry to hear that you are having problems. I will be praying for you. From experience, your leg pains and jerking of arms and legs may be from your pain meds. I had the same reaction to Morphine and thus I can't take it. They give me Demoral instead. What pain meds did they send you home on? They might be causing the problem also. I too am having a pain but mine is right below my right breast behind my rib cage. They tell me that it is because the fluid that generally lines between the lung and rib cage is dry thus causing friction when I breathe. They gave me pain meds and told me that it will correct itself in a week or two. I hope so because it sure is painful! I do hope that you get better quickly and I will be praying for you.
