Hey all You Marchers, I cann't thank you enough for all your thoughts and prayers during my surgery and recover. I received some emails while I was in the hospital and that was a nice gesture -- really brightened my day. I had open RNY and am doing exceptional according to all the hospital staff. There was a lady there that i really felt for, the nurse told me that she had almost died. It was so sad. One of the nurses says she just loves to work with Bariatric patients because for the most part, we are happy (kinda like working maternaty -- they are bringing in a new life and we a beginning a new life). The staff was awesome. I couldn't have had better care -- I have absolutely no complaints about the staff, hosital, or my physicians. They forgot to come and take my NG tube and the doc had called and told me the x-ray was perfect and wanted to know when they had come to take out the tub, he was furious when I told him not yet -- he got right on the phone and within a few minutes they were in there to remove the tube and catheter. I felt like a totally new woman at that point. I took your advice (Kimmer and Joy and Virginia) I walked as much as I possibly could. I'mm gonna go rest now. Just wanted to let you know that I was home and doing fairly well. Whitney Angels Lori and Va (they did a great job for me!!!) Angelettes Lori and Va (praying for Lori's procedure next week and continuious prayers for Va's recovery) 3days postop and not doing too bad!!! Thanks Mo for saving me a seat!!! Welcome home Whitney!!! I know how you feel ... my hospital care was exceptional. The nursing staff couldn't have been better (unless they could have put my room mate in a closet ? (j/k)). Actually, as I get more adjusted at home, the roommate thing maybe wasn't so bad after all . lol .. Hugs, Mo doin' the happy Mo dance very carefully at the moment !!!
