Hi Amanda! I will be keeping you in my prayers for your surgery tomorrow. I took a lot of extra stuff that I didn't really need. Here is what I did use of the things I took with me: chap stick personal fan (the hospital couldn't find any so my dear friend Sarah bought me a small one to use) shampoo/conditioner soap toothbrush toothpaste hair brush pony tail holders (I have long hair so when I'm in bed I braid my hair to the side or in two braids with one on each side, helps keep it from tangling so badly) calling card pen & paper (to write down phone numbers or messages of people who called) list of phone numbers word search book (didn't take much concentration - I took a book too but I didn't read it at all because of all the meds) slippers robe (I draped it over my shoulder on the side with the IV) pillow blanket (I like to have my own fuzzy blanket) CPAP (for my sleep apnea) hand lotion Kleenex's (because I'm picky and wanted soft ones and not hospital sand paper ones) I think that is about all that I took that I actually used. You will be in my prayers! God Bless!!! Carrie Carrie Quite Contrary (a/k/a CCQC) and Ginger (my new gurgling friend...boy does she talk a LOT!) 13 days post op (3/11) - 23 pounds down (284/261) March Elevener and PROUD to be a Marcher in Newpouch, USA Offishal Bad A$$ Babe of the Marchers , Offishal Assistant Paper Monkey and Secretary Extaordinaire AND Offishal Keeper of the Marcher Title Duty Roster My Angel ==> Amber W. Hey!! I am having surgery on Friday too, and that first post is my list of what to take (plus pads just in case). Well, and comfy clothes to wear home. Good luck and God bless.
