Update on Melissa

I talked to her about 7:30 she had just gotten to her room and didnt have her pump yet, they were giving her demerol through her IV which wasnt working, she was in A LOT of pain and sounded like she was too. Her Husband Gary just called me(9:45 p.m) and said she got her pump in her room and that the reason she was in so much pain was because her IV vain had blown so she wasnt getting the demerol at ALL!!!!! But she has already WALKED TO THE NURSES STATION and back since getting her pump in and she should be discharged Saturday, only because her doctor likes to keep the patients about 3 days!!! Praise God and thank you to everyone for your prayers and positive thoughts!!! ~Nicole

Wow - poor thing! I got poked 5 times with IV and had 2 veins injured, so I feel fortunate I didn't have a lot of pain from the surgery. I'm glad they got it resolved for her - hopefully it will be smooth sailing for from here on out... Dina -16
