Will I ever be able to chew anything?
24 days post op and 22 lbs lost. This is awesome but I am going through major food withdrawl. I have tried a couple of time to eat just one or two bites of a simple sandwich and that did not work. I can eat only soup, or milk and liquid things. I guess I cannot figure out exactly what it is I want but it is tough not having the choice. Sorry to go off like this but it is driving me a bit nuts.
Hi Tamera!
I know what you mean about needing to CHEW something! Unfortunately, because of my complications I am back to square one and starting all over with clear liquids again! I know they say not to chew gum but I have been chewing SF gum now and then. It really helps to fill that need to chew and I haven't noticed any problems with gas (which is why I think they say not to chew gum at first). Just an idea. Also, chewing on ice helped me too. It is a liquid I can have and chomping on some of it for awhile also helped with my need to chew.
Praying for you! God Bless!
