I got my staples out Monday! My PCP here said it was the best looking incision he's ever seen. It's really scabbed up, but I bought some mederma and I will start using it soon. I have officially lost 33 pounds and Ive been at 33 pounds for about 5 days now so the nutritionist says I have reached my first plateau and that usually happens around 30 to 40 pounds, but when I get past it, it will start falling off again. So I'm not worried about it because 33 pounds since I left the hospital(March 12) is damn good!! I can since I've lost so much and been doing so good, am offically on REGULAR FOOD!!!!! My nutritionist told me to take it slow and only introduce something new every couple of days so if something upsets the pouch I will know what it was. She told me the thing that she lives on is the salads at Mcdonalds, so I am going to go and get the chicken one today and I'm also gonna go and get salad and some ranch dressing. My nutriotionist said I dont have to get fat free salad dressing because it's still important to get some fat into my diet. I'm so excited to be able to eat SALAD!!! I had my first dumping experience yesterday, it was awful. I had 5 baby spoonfuls of bean and bacon soup and immediately felt naseous and had diarreha and spent the whole day and evening in bed, I never ever want to do that again!!!! I mean I was sweating and gagging but I never threw up it sucked!!! I walked about a mile today, I feel really good and it was nice to get outside, I am so tired of staying home by myself all day!! I'm also having ALOT of back pain, I mean I'm using my heating pad every night before I go to bed, it's like the more I try to do the more back pain I have. It's getting ridiculous!! I'm calling my doctor tonight about it because my lower back really hurts. Ok thats my update for now!! ~Nicole

Wow Nicole. Sounds like you're really doing great. 33 pounds so soon is teriffic! I'm sure your back pain will get better too as the weight falls off and you continue walking. Shalom for now Caboose T-7

Nicole - Congrats on your great weight loss! You are doing sooooo well! Wow! 33 pounds since surgery. That is amazing! Sorry to hear about your dumping incident. I don't dump (because I'm VBG, not RNY), but it does NOT sound pleasant! I'm having back pain also - I attribute it to having the incision going down the front of me. I think I'm over compensating or something. I drove around today w/ my car seat warmer on so I could get some heat on my back. In fact, I'm going in to my recliner now to get on the heating pad. Hope yours feels better soon! Again - congrats on your success! I'm so proud of you! -Wendy
