Well I am 9 lbs down from last appointment. I had my first B12 shot. I had my little strips of bandages taken off the incision. I have no staples, stitches and drains that need removing. My incision is glued together and looks great and is 3 1/4 inches long. I can now add their brand of oatmeal, blenderized tuna, salmon, white fish, canned chicken and pureed beans. I can have spices except hot and spicy, olive oil in tiny amounts, vinegar, small amounts of squeezed lemon, mustard or small amount of lo fat mayo for taste. My goals are 40-80 grams of protein per day, 15 grams of carbs or less per serving, and less than 5 grams of sugar per serving and can use lo fat or non fat food. Still can only have 2 ozs of food at a time and if hungry can eat again in 3 hours. I asked about mashed potatoes and was told NO...wah!! She told me slows down the weight loss dramatically. I am looking forward to pureed scallops tonight.

How interesting. So many doctors and nutritionists are different. I won't get the first b-12 shot until my 6 week. Probably good to get is sooner though. Mashed potatoes are fine in my booklet. They just have to come 4th, after protein, then green veges, then fruit. Congratulations on your weight loss. Caboose T-7 Pureed scallops sounds yummy

That is interesting too...how many ounces can you have though? I can only have 2 ounces and if it was 4th...that is like 1 bite. I want to lose weight fast though, and she said she had a patient who was having more trouble than the others and came to find that she added mashed potatoes to her diet because her friend could eat them and when my doctor told her to stop she lost 14 lbs the next weigh in.

Nine pounds in one week, WOW, WOW, WOW. That is great. I don't see the doctor until April 2nd. Having a hard time staying off the scales. Congrats again.......

I am enjoying them now...looks pretty gross cause I pureed them with some broccoli soup but they are tasty....finishing it off with a couple spoonfuls of natural applesauce.
