It's Finally Here

OMG!!!! I can't believe that it's finally here. Tomorrow is my BIG day!!! I have that schoolgirl excitement, like when you are getting ready for your first date or the prom or something -- excitement + nervousness all rolled into one. Now that my Angel is home and on the mend, I can rest easy and prepare myself for what lies ahead. DH has come to his senses and will be with me tomorrow (Kimmer threatened to drag him by his ear -- I think that did the trick ) and he will be with me my first full day at home too. I cannot begin to tell you all how much your support has meant to me through all my trials. You have been there for me each step of the way and I cannot thank you enough. I have made some wonderful friends here, I always thought people who developed relationships in chat rooms and on the internet were Now I know first hand how those bonds can form. I have a deeper understanding for it now. I feel closer to some of you than I have a lot of the aquaitences I have made in person over the last several years. I just can't believe that my time has come and this is really happening for me. The emotions have kicked in big time and when the well wishes started coming thru today the tears started to flow. I cry easily anyway (ever cried at a Hallmark commercial, I have ) I think I have all my ducks in a row and am starting to feel at peace and not so frazzled with all that I have to get done (there are still a few things that I need/want to do before tomorrow, but if they don't get done, no biggie -- except packing gotta do that one) Thank you all so much for your love and support. My prayers are with those who are healing, those who are sick, and those who are having surgery after mine. I'll leave it to my angels to keep you in the know. See ya'll at the bus station in Newpouch!!! Whitney Angels Lori and Va Angelettes Lori and Va Tomorrow's the Big Day and I am finally at peace

Whitney, What a beautiful post. You are going to do just great, I am going to be here praying for you and your surgeon. Remember, you are in the 'burbs' of Newpouch right now and after just a little bitty nap tomorrow, you are going to wake up and be smack dab in Newpouch, and it's going to be wonderful, guaranteed. Love ya Whitney Betty

Lori, best of luck! My surgery was 2 weeks ago and I am sooooo much better now. The 1st 2 days are difficult, just breathe through it and stay relaxed and focused on getting well and healing. Walk, walk, walk, as soon as you can and as often as possible! You will do fine and I look forward to seeing you back on the board, from the other side! God bless, Maureen

Whitney I'm like you, sometimes I even cry when I'm at the Hallmark Store just reading cards!!! Your big day is here and you'll do great. Those first few days post-op went by so quickly for me as I hope it will for you. Think summer, swimming and small jeans! How 'bout that for some motivation? I'm keeping you in my prayers Whitney, Go Get 'Em! Hugs, Karen L. -18lbs/11 days
