I had a c-section last February and the feeling around the incision spot has yet to come back. I think this usually happens when the nerves are cut into. Sometimes they regenerate back, sometimes they don't. I haven't experienced any numbness w/ my VBG incision, but it wouldn't surprise me if I did. Hope this helps a little.

Same thing on the c-section for me....I was numb for quite a while. I don't have any problems right now though but it does sound like they hit a nerve on you there. I was lucky and didn't get any nerves affected so nothing is numb right now on me. Just curious, did you have a lot of pain right after surgery?
Dina
Yes, I was in A LOT of pain. I was on the morphine as well as demoral (SP?) Also where the numbness is I was feeling a burning sensation under the skin....The surgeon said It was from my muscle, but I don't know about that. It was an awful, hurting burning pain.
I still get it here and there....

Kelley, Hunney!!
Quit with the pinching, poking and squeezing. If you keep that up, I'm comin' over to put you in soft restraints. Jose may like that, but YOU won't!!
Call your Doc, toots. That's why we pay 'em the big bucks!
(I have NO feeling at all on the top of my left foot/ankle to about mid-calf: 3 orthopaedic surgeries in 1983, '84, and '85 did it in, including adhesions, a Morton's neuroma and various assorted oddities. But that was an extreme...hopefully yours is temporary.)
Hang in there...and quit playing with your tummy!!
