Trouble sleeping the night before....
I stayed up LATE. My dog had eaten so much of my daughters dog's food we were afraid she would explode. We debated on going to a vet ER. Instead when I finally went to bed, I let her sleep with me. No one got much sleep! The day I had surgery, my hubby had to go home and give her my unused glucerine suppository to help her get some of it out--she was deathly ill all my surgery week--he spent more time on her and taking her to the vet for xrays than he spent at the hospital with me.
I'm happy to report that she and I are both fine now!!!

P.S. I do not recommend this for your night before surgery!!

On one hand you don't want to take the pill and feel all groggy.. BUT as soon as you get to the hospital they will give your more stuff to make you more groggy
Then again You are so very excited and about to start your brand new life so of course you don't wanna sleep!!!
But then again if you sleep time passes faster and morning comes sooner.
OK so I was no help
Congrats on your big day!!!!

Although I was calm, I do not think I slept much. I know I Prayed a lot and had the prayer list with with up to the time I went into surgery. After that I never saw the list before. Others were amazed how many people were having the surgery that was on my list for this past week.
Prayer and meditation got me through.

Hi Melissa! If you're sensitive to meds, I'd pass on the sedative.
I, like others here, plan on staying up as late as I possibly can the night before. My surgery isn't until 2 PM, and I don't have to be at the hospital until 11:30 AM that day. So I plan on getting my son up and off to school (if he chooses to go -- he may want to go to the hospital), then going back to bed until 10 AM. My hubbo and I will leave the house around 10:30 AM for the horspital, since it's an hour-long drive.
HTH.
