Incision/staples for Open RNY surgery

I am a week out and they really starting to bother me. Sort of puffy and read. I washing it when I bathe which I know is good. Anyone else have any experiences?

Did you use soap when you washed them, if so you may not be getting it all out. Better to just wash with warm water or put peroxide or alcohol on it. Are they tender to touch??? Is the area hot?? If yes to this, they may be getting infected...call your doctor. Probably just ready to come out tho. Whitney
