I really need a hug-
I saw Dr. Roll today and did my pre-op tests. During our visit, he said my surgery is going to be difficult because of the nissan wrap I had done laproscopicly for my hital hernia. He said it is going to be a headache but it can be done.He turned another patient away with the same problem I have. He said in her case, she had heart problems and some other issues. I pray that I get to the other side safely.Has anybody else gone through this?
Dear Sharon:
No, my dear, I don't know anything about your situation, but the way your doctor sounds, it doesn't make me feel very confident about his abilities I am here to send you a bazillion hugs and suggest that maybe, if you can handle the waiting, you should seek out another surgeon who IS confident that your surgery will be a success. Sharon, are there any Marchers or others on this website that could refer you to their md? Where do you live? I'm in northern Mass, and my doctor is the best! Definitely keep seeking out information from others who have been, or are, in your situation. I pray that the good Lord keeps His eyes on you and blesses you with the answers that you seek. God Bless!
Rita
Just tell him that's why he gets paid the big bucks!
It sounds like he's cautious, which is good. No one wants someone to go into surgery where the risk outweighs the benefits. The fact that he is doing yours tells me that he does not feel like this is the case for you. He was probably just thinking out loud and warning you to tell your family that it may take a little longer than usual. Won't matter to you--you'll sleep right through it!
Hugs!
