Our Goals??

The month is almost half over, and some Marchers have made the trek in and out of the hospital and are on the losing side already, some of us are on the threshold (I have 3 days and a wake-up) and others are waiting their turn at the end of the month. Soon we will all be just reporting losses, food tips and minor setbacks and problems and it will be business as usual. This might be a good time to talk about our goals, because I for one have no idea what others may be looking for or the time it may take. I am on the lighter end of the BMI range but want to lose 80 lbs and weigh 125 again. This would be a dream come true. Anyone else want to share?

My weight goals are similar to yours, but I would be happy to be able to hold my weight long term below 140! Even that seems unbelievable to me at this point! (I'm only 5'3") But more importantly, I am looking for a big improvement in mobility and energy, with a reduction in arthritis, along with elimination of sleep apnea. In other words, looking good is wonderful, but more than that, I want to feel great! Joy

I want a lifetime of good health. Weight-wise. I'd LOVE to get to 150 (I'm 290 now) but so long as I'm healthy and active...well, that's my goal.

My goal is to weigh close to 175 lbs. I too would like to see a reduction in the knee pain and the back pain can go to H***! I look forward to be able to walk around a swapmeet and Wal-Mart. I have to use a scooter to the point that my hubby bought me one. I look forward to selling it, or maybe I can find someone who needs it more! One fantasy of mine is that I'd like for my husband to be able to pick me up. Nothing fancy, just get my feet off of the floor! A little spin would be more than a fantasy, it would be a dream come true! Oh yeah and to sit in a normal size chair and place my purse on the seat beside me! I don't want much! OH, yea, one of my biggest goals besides the weight (and I am 5 ft 2.5 inches, Joy and 140 may be better for me too, but I am dreaming big)--but I want my honey of a boyfriend to weight at least 40 lbs MORE than me, than 40 lbs LESS than he does now! We're both in our 60's and believe me that makes a big difference in the romantic area...if you get my meaning.... LOL

Well, my goal is to lose more than half my body weight. It would be nice to be 135, but I'd be satisfied with 150 - that's 165 away from my current weight. Beyond that, I want to be able to buy a pair of shoes in a normal store, that don't cost a fortune. Right now, I can only wear Birkenstocks, or my feet start to kill me!! Of course, I also want to be able to go up and down the stairs without knee and foot pain. I want to be able to walk the length of the Ocean City, NJ boardwalk without having to take sit down breaks to rest my back every block! I could go on and on. mgm & IDI Bitty (ready to be born on Tuesday)

Amen!!!! Martha!!!! I'm only 34 and take 13 pills a day + 2 inhalers + NSAIDS as needed. I can't imagine if I keep going on the way I am, how many more meds I will need -- It seems like each time I visit the doctor,I wind up on something else longterm. It is starting to scare the pants off me Which I'm sure is not a pretty site Other than that, I think I would like to weigh less than I did when I got married by my anniversary in June (that would take about 45lbs) and have 100 lbs gone for good by Christmas...After that, I'll just have to see...My Mom said, when I'm at goal she is going to give me a "Skinny Shower" (kinda like a baby shower, only instead of baby gifts, she is going to have people bring either clothes, gift certificates, or some other personal items) istn't it??? Ultimately, I want to be more active in my children's lives and able to do physical things with my hubbie like hiking, skiing, biking, etc..(Gottcha didn't I??) It'll be nice to weigh less than my hubbie (I never have) All I have to do to do that is be under 200lbs. Whitney Angels Lori and Va Angelettes Lori and Va (one down, one to go!!!!) Less than two weeks for me

I have made 4 goals for myself. I weigh 360 right now. 1) To weigh less then my husband. I never have since I have known him. 2) To get under 300 pounds 3) To lose 100 pounds. 4) To get under 200 pounds. From that point on, I really don't know. I weighed 200 when I gratuated from high school, and I can't remember my weight prior to then, so I just don't know what my final goal will be. Of course I would love to weigh what I should at my height (5'5), but I don't know if it realistic at this point.
