My "best" friends!

I took a call from the surgeon and got my date. My friend Dawn with whom I have spent most of my adult life whined ,"I suppose this means I won't ever get Banana split dessert again in this life!" To which My other friend, Johna, with whom I have grown up, replied,"Maybe not but I will get my Turtle brownies, she'll make them just to shut me up" As you can see I have been an aider and supporter in the feeding and care of my friends as well as myself. I will have to see if I can still swing making this junk for them after I am no longer going to eat it again. Of course I have been dieting for so long I don't remember what it tastes like for certain anyway!

If you really want to be a friend, figure out some yummy treats that are healthier for yourself and your friends. My doctor asked in my consult if I had gotten all the junk food out of the house. I said, "Yes, I took 3 grocery bags of stuff to my daughter." He said, "Why? Do you want her to have a weight and health problem?" It really made me think about another dimension of my food behavior!!! Let's all try to share the health! Joy

Yes, I was thinking along the same lines...are you friends healthy and slim? Or could they stand a little healthier eating style too?

WOW not so supportive are they?? You're having life changing surgery and they're concerned about dessert?? I wouldn't cook for them again just for that!! Tell them from now on it's all about protein shakes and you'll even shake them for 'em!!! There are all kinds of wonderful recipes out there and on this site.. I am pretty sure you'll be able to whip up some good stuff and maybe they won't even be able to tell it's not junk!!! Good Luck and Congrats on your date!!!!
