I'M ALONE

Well, DH informed me that he would not be taking off work to be at the hospital during my surgery. I will have to drive myself there and go it alone. I'm hurt that he has no more concern for me than that. It will be hard, but I can do it. Whitney Angels Lori and Va Angelettes Lori and Va Less than 2 weeks (not as excited as I was about this)

Maybe he is just scared for you. A lot of men hide there emotions and do things like that rather than admit they are scared. My husband was like that until I sat him down and explained how much I need him to be there. He was. Granted I tried to choke him and he had to scream for help from the nurses when I woke up, they hadnt given me pain meds yet. I do understand how your feeling though, my prayers go out to you. I'm sorry about this. Does he fully understand the magnitude of what you are doing here? My wife took off the whole week, and she was incredible to me. She reaffirmed our vows right then and there in my book. I also think her support, the support of my family and friends is what has allowed me to recover so well. I think I would have a little talk with him and explain your feelings about being left alone. While it can be done, it would be better to have him there. Best of Luck to you. Hi Whitney, You are SO NOT ALONE.. you have the strength and power and love of the Marchers and that's one mighty force!!!! It sucks that he is acting like this.. do you need help burying the body?? Maybe he'll come to his senses.. He is only a man after all.. Seriously we're here for you and maybe if you have a heart to heart he'll come around.. HUGZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

My Wife won't be at mine either. So maybe we can be alone together. We are here for you. I know it is not the same but you'll be able to feel the love from this group all the way through. Best wishes.

My fiance tried to pull this crap too.. wanting me to drive myself.. UMMM hell NO. I ended getting him to come with me, but he was very reluctant and kept saying "Im doing this for you" Needless to say.. at my next appt I might not want him there.

Whit, You wrote that you are not as excited about this as you were...WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! You may not be as happy about your DH not going to the hospital but you are going to be fine. I have read your post and you are a strong women. I know that no one wants to go it alone, but lets face it you have two weeks and anything could happen between now and then. It might be like a poster said...maybe he is just scared. I don't mean to seem rude or anything...Lets face it Whitney...you don't mince words either...you are a to the point kinda gurl...me too. Hi Whitney, First I want to say that it's a shame he won't be there but you can do it, you must do it! Is there anyone else who might be able to go with you for example another family memeber, friend or even maybe someone from your church (if you have one)? Maybe there is someone else from your area who has had this surgery for example someone from a support group. You could check with your doctor. I know this might be a little impersonal but at least knowing that you have someone with you might be comforting. Hope this helps a little. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Good Luck.
