I am now offically POST OP & home!!
My surgery on monday was uneventful. I did end up staying in the recovery room for 6 hours. I had some breathing problems. They eventually just put me on oxigen the whole time I was there. My little pump did it's job and I could tell when the "click" was a really good one. A little beep sounded. I found out by watching the clock I could get it to beep every 15 minutes. What an exciting time I had watching the clock!!!
Now that I am home I have no energy. Just about enough to nuke the chicken broth. Don't know why I bother heating it. It is always cold by the time I get finished it! So far I have not been able to get in more than 1/2 cup all day total. I am glad that I added protien powder to the small bit I am able to drink. Took me 2 hours to take the few pills I need to take. Even then I did not finish them. I hope that this improves as the days move on.
I was surprised in the hospital by a fellow AMOS member, Stuart. What a great surprise to get 2 calls of encouragement. He had the same dr I have and he was nothing by encouraging. Thank you, thank you Stuart.
Now if any of you see that truck that hit me, please get his number!!! I hear my pillow calling.
