Yikes, my daughter's having contractions...

My surgery is tomorrow. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30, surgery's at 7:30am. My daughter who lives an hour and a half drive from me just called and said she's been having contractions since 3:00pm today. Oh no!!! If she has the baby tonight and I can't be there, and then not even see the baby for at least 3 days after that...I'm gonna be bummin! I'm hoping that the contractions peter out, and she holds off on delivering my Grandson until Saturday! Karen L. (If it ain't one thing, it's three!)

That is a big Yikes! I hate to pray her contractions stop because she might kill me! But false labor is so common. Get on with your stuff and you will have LOTS of motivation to get up and about quickly! Joy

Thank you ladies for your support. I know she wants to have that baby now, but I'm hoping it's false labor too. As soon as I can post after surgery,I will and will let everyone know how I'm doing. Karen

Just think though.,..your grandchild and you would share an important date! I think that would be neat.

Good point Sally. My "re-birth" and my Grandchild's Birthday on the same day would be kinda cool.

Is this first grandchild? When is she actually due?
