Geeze, I have nervous questions

Geeze, I'm coming down with the nervies (nervous) worrying about everything I can think of I had DH fill my prescriptions today, and holy macaroni, the one pill called actigall for gallbladder is a big 'ol capsule, the other one is a smaller B12 tablet, am I going to be able to take them? Will BB Me be able to handle something that big from day one? Another question which has been bothering me, will I be able to take Communion when I go to church? I know I can not take the wine, but what about the wafer? Betty

Hi Betty! Please check with your surgeon about your questions, but I will tell you what I was told at my nutrition class last Friday regarding your questions... I was told that it's OK to swallow capsules. And as far as communion is concerned, I was told it was OK, as the communion wafers at my parish is about the size of at $.50 piece. When I asked about receiving the cup, I was told as long as I only let the wine touch my lips, I would be OK. HTH! Hugs, -Marcie

1. Pepe seems to not mind pills at all. I was shocked at the size of the pain pill they brought me when I got rid of the epidural and Pepe took it all in stride. I am back on big vitamins and I am not breaking or crushing them. Doesnt the b12 go under the tongue? 2. I took communion--just chew! Its not enough to bother you. The wine may make you a bit tipsy. Take a deep breath. This is going to be the new normal, not the end of normal! Joy

Betty, Would you believe that my Doc's nutritionist said "a little wine" on the rare occasion is "OK". "The only problem is that you will be a very cheap drunk." Her words exactly. I know some religions don't chew the wafer, but let is dissolve then swallow, that could be a problem for the pouchling, since we have to chew everything into oblivion. Pills, so far as long as there less than the size of an M&M I don't have problems with them. Taken one at a time with a sip of fluid. The doc actually sent me home from the hospital with a PILL for pain!!!! Va

Betty, Gurl, you have come to far to start being nervous now!!!! You just let being nervous to the ones who don't put there trust in the Lord. That my dear is not you. I know that you are going to be just fine. Cuz, you told me that your surgery is the day after mine and the next time we talked we would both be losers!!!! Now chin up, and focus on HIM!
