Survived Surgery on 3/3/04
Hi guys: Finally made it back to the boards. Had a few difficulties but am thrilled to be home and on the losing side (hopefully). I go in Friday for staples removed and unfortunately, they couldn't do it LAP so had to do it OPEN. So have this beautiful railraod track scar running down my middle...HEY, one great thing is I've had NO acid reflux at all in a week...I took meds for that for the past few years - no meds and no symptoms in a week...God love my surgeon, he was great dropping in and telling me I did so well....
Developed a mild infection in the left drain and spent the afternoon of my birthday (yesterday) in doc's office getting antibiotics!!
Today is the first day of obtaining any real sleep...I appreciate the nurse's and tech's are doing their job grabbin vital signs but man, what that does to someone's sleep schedule is unreal!! Finally got 4 hours undisturbed sleep.
I'll weigh in on Friday and do measurements. I can't imagine I've gone down a pound or inch...I'm pretty bloated and he put a feeding tube in me for the first 4 weeks to also correct some other esophugus issues I was struggling with.
Hope everyone is well...Thanks to those who DIDN'T forget me
