Profound thoughts
Here I am unable to sleep, so I took a long hot bath and did some reading (one of my favorite late night passtimes besides being on here). I was reading Family Circle and there was an article entitled 10 Years, 10 Lessons -- some of them rang sooo true to me and I thought I'd share them with you...
1) Motherhood is a Business Asset -- The skills required to be a good manager are the same ones necessary t be an effetive and nuturing mother.
2) The most important words in a marriage are "I'm sorry" --- Giving and receiving fogiveness is the hard part. Saying "I love you" every day should be easy.
3) Goofing off is good for you -- Science confirms that a little playfulness and even mental-health days are beneficial for adults as well as kids.
4) Life's too short to stuff mushrooms -- Sometimes not making, cooking or baking it yourself is the best use of your time, especially if you spend it with your loved ones or friends instead.
5) The American woman's favorite four-letter words are easy and love -- The American Man's -- Easy and Sexy...
6) Feeling stressed -- try to remember it's just desserts spelled backward.
7) The 10 most powerful two-letter words are "If it is to be, it is up to me" embrace responsibility for your own destiny.
8) The three healing powers in life are prayer, laughter and being nice. We should put them on our daily to-do list (I think that all the people on this board fall into this category -- maybe that's why the Marchers are doing sooo well)
9) The secret of a happy life is not just to do what you like, but like what you do.
10) It's what you learn after you think you know it all that really matters!!!
Just wanted to share...
