WHERE has the time gone?

Goodness! It seems like yesterday I was marking of 53 days until surgery. I thought I had so much time to get everything done and so I kept putting it off. Now I have ONE day left to get things done before I leave for surgery Thursday morning. I haven't packed a bag or anything yet! I haven't cleaned my house like I wanted to, finished laundry etc. etc. etc. After a year and a half of waiting to have surgery it seemed that it would never get here. Where has the time gone? I can't believe my time is finally coming!!! I am so excited that I can't sleep and I don't even care anymore if the house is cleaned. Someone else can deal with it while I'm gone! Isn't that terrible? I just want to have my surgery and I don't care that the toilets needs cleaned and the floors need to be vacuumed. I'm going to be a LOSER!!! Sorry, just had to get some of this building excitement out of my system!!!! Not sure it worked though I am praying for all my fellow Marchers and I am so blessed to have found you all. We are in the same boat Carrie. I have two weeks left and I have sooo much to do (I am a known procrastinator -- the kind who does an entire research paper the night before it's due - course I always got an A ) And now, I'm sick....I had fully intended on getting a lot done today and woke up with the ickies...Now, I can't sleep because I can't breath ('course those of you who have grown to know me know that I don't sleep much anyway ) I'm excited for you Carrie. Carrie... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU..I hope you put this in your profile!!!! It's so hard waiting for your time to get here and posts like these will SO help someone who's time is not so near!!!! As for housework it's just like bills... As soon as it's done there's more to do!!!! AND some way some how the bills get paid even when we don't see how SO the house will be fine and you'll be a Contrary Loser in Newpouch in a few hours.... GO YOU!!!!

We are all so different here. My bags are not packed but I have set aside a few things that I don't want to forget.My house is cleaned (I'll keep that up) and I am just about ready to leave. I fly out on Tuesday and will be away from home for 2 weeks. I've prepared some meals for dh and put them in the freezer. I've arranged to have the house cleaned just prior to my return. I feel better in a clean and neat environment. In addition to being a nurse, my Mom was one too so whenever we were ill she would have us shower in the am, put on clean jammies and then change the bed to nice fresh sheets. It always made us feel better. I still have to pay some bills and send out some correspondence before I leave. I prefer to not have to think about anything at home while I am recovering. I do the same before leaving for vacation.

Carrie, I know what you mean about not having anything done. I did not even buy my shakes, vitamins, or anything until the afternoon before the surgery lol. I was a mess. IT WOULDNT BE CLEAN WHEN YOU GOT HOME ANYWAY- DONT FORGET TO BRING SOMETHING FOR YOUR LIPS AND ASK THE NURSES FOR WHATEVER YOU NEED NO MATTER HOW LITTLE IT IS. Oh Boy! I'm so excited!!!! The time just few by, and I'm so happy it did. As for getting things done, well, I've been keeping up with the house work and doing laundry for days. Tomorrow I will do a complete scrubbing... I was going to go out tomorrow with my husband after he got out of work to get all my hospital and post op things but when we were talking on the phone this morning we both thought about the bowl prep that I have to start at 5pm so of course I was like HELL NO, I'll do the shopping now cause I'm not risking going to Wally world after I just drank a bottle of that citrate magnesia stuff So I went to Wally world a little while ago and got everything I needed... I got all my vitamins, tums, Wal-mart brand viactiv (VERY YUMMY) got some new slippers, undies, bra, night gown and all the travel size toiletries... Just need to have hubby get me some film and batteries and I'll be all set. Bag is packed and ready to go. Bring it on! Good Luck tomorrow Carrie, you will in my thoughts and prayers!
