Does anyone remember Susan Standifer?

This is Susan's daughter. My Mom passed away just before Halloween. I just plugged her computer in for the first time since her death, and found this site. Tomorrow is my birthday, the first without her, and I thought it was important to let everyone who knew her know that she is no longer here. I also wanted to thank everyone who gave her encouragement and support throughout this whole experience. She was happier because of this surgery than she had ever been in her life! Tina, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. I'm glad to know that she was happy because of her weight loss. I was reading her profile and it seems that she was really enjoying life. Tina, my heart is heavy with your loss. I don't remember Susan (I was very shy when I first came on "board" and didn't make very good connections with folks initially) but in reading her profile, I sense she was a joyful person. Please take care of yourself at this time of great sorrow. Please stay in touch and let us know how you are doing. It's always difficult to accept loss like this - you are in my thoughts and prayers. Tina - I am so sorry to hear about your mother. I read back on her back posts and refamiliarized myself. I know it is hard losing a parent and it must be bittersweet to go through her life this way. I hope you have found enough things to help build another level of your relationship with her. Sometimes we learn things about our parents after they've passed that really solves a mystery you never really knew existed. That happened with me when my dad passed. I had a whole new understanding - and that gave me comfort. I hope you had a happy birthday and have found lots of great memories to relive about your mom. Dina
