Newbie Marcher!
Hey all. I just found this board. I have been trying to get WLS approved since August of last year and I finally have a date. March 19th is the big day. Insurance denied me even with Walter Lindstrom's help so I will be self pay going south of the border. I just wanted to say hello and I plan to visit here often. There seems to be alot less drama here than in the main message board. ( lol ) Take care and I look forward to talking with you all at some point and time. Best wishes and good luck.
Yes Walter is a lawyer. He has had the surgery himself and works out of www.obesitylaw.com. They fought the good fight but my company is being sold so the insurance will change. They are stalling with the overturning of my 2nd appeal because of the sale. Oh well. I like it lopsided. The more women here the better. I tend to get along with women better than men anyway. Thanks for the replies. Take care and best of luck! ((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))
Hi Gary! Welcome to the Marchers and congratulations on your date. It will be here before you know it. We are full of support. Have questions? ASK AWAY!! Good Luck to you and I look forward to hearing from you on the board.

A riddle a day will keep the Marchers pounds AWAY!
Gary, I think you are very brave & sensible to go to Mexico for your surgery. I would have no problems with that. Many people are leary of Mexico, but I lived in El Paso for about 14 years and the only thing that made it worthwhile was having Mexico only about 5 miles away.
Have you met your surgeon yet? Have you been to the surgery center/hospital yet? I would be interested in your opinions about it.
I am having my surgery on the 25th of March, at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, Fairfield, CA. If I were still in El Paso, I just might have gone to Mexico, though.
Good Luck on your surgery!! Sharon
