49 hours to go! :chair:
Well 49 hours to go! Any last minute advise? ........ I believe I'm pretty prepared. You know this may sound stupid but my biggest fear besides the actual surgury is the cathider...thinking of that whole process is given me the creepen willies! Oh and of corse any last minute tips on keeping it held together when it comes down to getting onto the table! I just don't want to be a blubbering idiot!! Oh and does anyone know were to buy already made sugar free pudding/ can't find it anywere!?
Anyway thanks in advance! See you on the other side!!
I get the cathater if I cannot go due to surgery. I found the sugar free jello and pudding with the regular packages that you mix up yourself. I am going to put them in little containers. (My frig will be full of little containers.)
As far as the anxiety, if you feel you are doing that, talk to your dr and the anethesologist. They can give you something early to relax you. That is what I plan to do..I went ballestic the last procedure I had with my BP and they had to calm me down. So now I am warning everyone.
I found them in the refrigerated section of my store (Mars a local store in Baltimore) I Know some have found them in Wal Mart Super store
I've been reading books, going to the movies (The Passion is awsome) to take my mind off surgery
Looks like we will be going under at the same time see you on the lossing side

Alicia, the catheter will be fine. They put mine in while I was asleep and I didn't even feel it while it was in the whole time nor when they pulled it out. You are in my prayers and good luck

7 Days into NewPouch and feeling great!
A riddle a day will keep the Marchers pounds AWAY!
We had to get the pudding you have to mix but were pleasantly suprised that it sets up in about five minutes. I bought a lot of little ramekins and we put it in that, so I still have my six pack. (Of course, I'll be watching to see if anybody else has a brand name and then I won't go to the trouble anymore!) I found I didn't want it until several days after I came home.
The catheter was put in while I was sleeping, I didn't feel it (in or in taking it out) AND I was way too tired from the anesthetic. You just want to sleep and be left alone and getting up a lot would not appeal, trust me. You won't be aware of it or using it and will just get to nap and nap.
Do you have a snapshot of anything you would like to look at while you are waiting from them to wheel you down? I did find that wait to be not my favorite and wished I could have stared at something, like maybe a picture of the hotel in Hawaii where we're going to celebrate next month.
Write down some positive thoughts or affirmations and repeat them over and over while you do some deep breathing. It may sound silly or woowoo, but whatever works, ya know.
Focus on believing you can be one of those folks for whom everything goes great. Remember all you've coped with from being overweight. You have a lot of strength for coping and now it can all go toward something that will actually help you.
