Hello everyone, I hope that ya'll had a great weekend. I wish I could tell you that I did too. I am having a problem...as of lately...I have quite smoking, I have started my period, I am fighting with my husband, and I am scraping together the money for my deposit...I have to have it when I go for pre-op in two days. On top of that I have the house to clean, and laundry, I am still trying to get it all together while helping my mommalaw since my father in law passing on 2/14/04. I am stressed and I need some sleep...I only feel sleepy at times that I really need to be alert. I am starting to think that I am losing my mind. My husband is telling me that he is not sure how I managed to get a letter that says I am not crazy..Wants to know how much did it cost to buy a letter? I know that he is only kidding but it is not the time. I am wondering if I am ever going to be normal again!!!!! I am not worried so much about the surgery as I am getting every thing done before the surgery. My daughter was going to go to Dallas and visit with family for spring break and when she found out that I was my pre-op on 3/10 she changed her plans wanting to be here with me. I am soooo blessed to have such a wonderful daughter. I just wanted to scream...but thought that I would vent instead. I love all of you and don't know what I would do with out all of you. You are my strongest support right now and would not know what to do or where to turn without ya'll. Pray for me as I always need prayer. Thxs. Hi Shannon, Nicotine withdrawal, PMS and cramps, tension with you DH and money. The devil is working hard on you girl! We will pray him away!!!! You all prayed him away for me when I got sick yesterday and we can do the same for you. You are not losing your mind! Any one of these issues can be tough to deal with let alone all of them at one time. I am saying a prayer for you right now and will continue to do so. Father God, I thank YOU that you are ruler over all! I ask that you reach down and give Shannon YOUR peace. Please a hedge of protection around her Father, calm her fears and her tensions. Give her the strength and the wisdom to handle everything that comes her way Lord. Keep her healthy and calm Lord and help her to prepare for her surgery. We know Father that You can handle anything and we give you all the praise and glory Lord. In Jesus name I pray. AMEN!!! God Bless you Shannon!! I will continue to pray for you! So sorry, Shannon! You have a lot on you. And you are trying to juggle all of it at once and not able to focus on any of it. This may help: Sit down with a pencil and paper and write down everything on your list of "To Do's". Don't bother to include the environmental obstacles, unless there is something you need to DO about them. From your note I would say something like: Pull your money together Pre-op visit Clean house Do laundry Assist MIL (be specif--what help does she need now) Prepare for DD's visit - specifically what do you need to do? Sleep Take care of you - be specific Now, count the things you listed. Look over the list--if just one thing does not get done, which one would cause the least problem? Give that one the highest number. Repeat this for the remainder. Believe me, not a single thing on the list HAS to be done for the world to continue, but some will have more serious impact than others. Once you have your list sorted in importance order, work only on #1 until you get stuck or complete it. Then work on #2 until you get stuck or complete it or can go back and make more progress on #1. Everywhere you can assign tasks to someone else. You will get the most important things done this way. I suspect pulling your $ together and making your preop visit are near the top of the list. Cleaning your house might make you feel better, but will have the least impact if not done. If you can delegate some of the things to someone else, DO SO. This is the time to pull in the cavalry. Tell your DD that you are thrilled she is coming and that you need her help. That is what I did when my DD decided to come for my surgery. And she really did help! (That is not her nature ordinarily, God love her!) A couple of weeks after surgery you will be able to help your MIL again. Right now it might do her a world of good to help you! One way or the other, if you take care of your WLS needs, you will be having surgery and the rest of this will go away. If you read my profile (don't take time now ) you know that everything in the world got thrown at me at the last minute. I didn't make it to the bottom of my list either. But I got far enough that we muddled through. You can do this. You are a LOSER! Praying for you Dear, Joy
