Left shoulder pain

Is anyone else having left shoulder pain? My left shoulder is killing me. I remember my doctor telling me on discharge that If my left shoulder pain got worst to call her, but in hast I forgot to ask her why I would was having it since it was my stomach that was operated on.

I understand that's pretty common. What it is, the CO2 they pump in you becomes trapped in various places. Maybe a heating pad will help. Hang in there!!

Dd you have LAP or open? If it was lap then Karen is right.... go with the flow and as soon as the gas is reabsorbed then the pain will go away! Gayle Queen of Yarn Balls

I agree you have gas stuck in the wrong spot.. I also think ringin up the doc won't hurt anything.. Always better to be safe than sorry... Feel better soon!!!! The fifth day is when it seem to hit most often too. I'm sure it is temporary. I wonder if getting your behind higher than your shoulders might help?? (If you do, be sure to take a picture) Joy

Hey Joann, We're twins today!!! I'm suffering with the agony of the "Left Shoulder" pain today too!!! I think I'm going to go stand in the shower for an hour or so and see if those Magic Fingers on the shower massage can work some of this out!!! I had this real bad the first day of surgery. Same spot. Between my Hubby putting pressure on the spot, changing positions, and the wonderful morphine, it finally dissipated. This one being a bit of a pest though!!
