Ok To recline or not recline is the question...
Can't speak from my experience yet, my date is 3/16/04 but I can tell you about my husband 1/5/04. The first night home he tried to sleep in bed and he could not get comfortable, everything hurt, finally I made him move to the recliner (because of what I had read) and he stayed there for almost 2 weeks. Hope this help. Good luck on your journey......
Well you all convinced me...taking no chances at having to fork lifted from my bed or sleeping standing up...LOL you guys are so cute.
I went out this morning to a local furniture store and got a really nice Lane recliner/rocker that is not too big, has an easy moving handle and easy to get in and out of and is cushy soft! It is being delivered Wed. I also have an old couch I needed disposing of and the delivery men are going to cart it away....hooray! I work for Crate & Barrel at the headquarters and we of course sell furniture and I finally took advantage of an employee appreciation day and am buying other living room furniture...so my life is improving....I will be slimmer, healthier and have nice furniture too! Life is good.
My surgery was on March 1st. I couldn't even sleep in my reliner the first 2 nights. It leaned back to much. I slept on a glider chair (kind of like a rocker) and it had it an ottoman. I can sleep in the recliner now though, but I could also sleep in a regular chair too. I've tried the bed today but it still pulled to much on stomach. I hope this helps! Good Luck!!
