i could not believe the many replies to my last post about being so scared and "chickening out". i can't begin to express how much every response meant to me. i was planning on replying to all or most of them, but i've been avoiding the computer like the plague. i found that no matter what i started doing when i got online, i always ended up reading horror stories about wls, anesthesia, or watching the lovely video of the surgery being done. i think this is probably not the best thing for me to be doing right now. lol i've been doing a lot of reading and i've confiscated my son's gameboy sp and have been trying to keep my mind off of the whole surgery thing. so far it's working relatively well. tomorrow is my last day of food - monday it's clear liquids and fleet phospha soda - and then surgery on tuesday. i will be sure and update or have my hubby update as soon as i'm home. my doc is planning on keeping me a couple of extra days because i live so far away, so i'm not expecting to be home before friday or saturday. so don't worry...
anyway, i just wanted to say thanks for all of the support. it means the world to me. but, i've got to step away from the computer and try and focus on some positives for now.
Kym,
Good luck on a uncomplicated surgery and a speedy recovery. Be sure to check back in when you get home. Just a quick. I'm home if you don't feel like doing anything else.

Sounds like gameboy may be just the thing for you right now. I promise, a week from now you will wonder why you were so nervous! (If foresight was hindsight it would be SO much more accurate!)
Hang in there and focus on doing what you have to do moment by moment. You will be remembered while you are gone and we will be anxious to hear back from you.
