I'm Home

Just wanted everyone to know that I am home and surgery went well. Thank God . I am not hurting the only thing that was hurting when I was in ICU was my back . the was killing my back in ICU so I aksed the nurse if I can sit up in a and she told me yes. I kept pressing the Morphine button but seem like it was not working. Before the nurse got me up she gave me a massage out of this world it felt so good I was mouning and groaning. The was a life saver even when I got back to my room from ICU I slept in the Once in a while my back hurts and I take more of my liquid Loritab. I notice my back hurts when I walk but I know I have to walk. The staff at the hospital was so amazed when they saw me walking which they told me that I was walking fast and I was not aware .

Glad you are home and on your way! I am worried about my back too...I always have back trouble from surgeries, no matter how minor. I don't have a recliner either and now Martha and you both have me thinking I better get one!

Welcome Home! Did you remember to have a r.n. put a blanket under the lowerback, before surgery ? this would have made your back so much better! I know from experience about this . I had 3 abdominal surgeries in 1 year.....I will keep you in my prayers...!Mary
