I AM WHINING AND SWORE I WOULD NEVER DO THAT. I HATED WHEN POST-OPS WHINED WHEN THEY WERE A LOSER AND ON THE WAY TO A HEALTHY SKINNY LIFE. NOW THAT IS ME. I CANNOT STAND ANYMORE PROTEIN DRINKS. I MAY DIE IF I HAVE TO DRINK ANOTHER ONE. I DONT GET SICK I JUST FEEL LIKE I WILL AT ANY MINUTE. IM SORE AND CANT SLEEP AND MY STAPLES ITCH. I LOST 11LBS ACCORDING TO MY SCALE BUT DANG IF THAT DIDNT HELP ME. GO FIGURE. I DONT REGRET IT I AM JUST MOURNING FOR FOOD. I SWORE I WOULDNT DO THAT. I THOUGHT IT WAS STUPID. TILL NOW. WELL THANKS FOR LETTING ME WHINE. LADONNA

Well of course you're whining. You don't feel well. You don't look good (at least not yet). You can't eat what you like. You can't sleep and you're itchy. Just hang in there - prettty soon you'll be looking great, the pain nausea, sutures, and insomnia will just be a bad memory. You'll feel better and look better than you have in a long time. let it rip!! only, if you promise to listen to us whine, too!! hey, what are we here for but to support each other through this journey!! i haven't been in your shoes yet but i assure you i will be missing my food! my post op diet has me eating (drinking) something every 30 minutes until i get to soft foods so be prepared to hear me complain! take care and soon things will be better.

LaDonna - I know I'm probably going to be the same as you, so move over on the detention bench and make room for my fat butt when I get on the other side. On the protein drinks, go get some Carb Countdown 2% chocolate milk. It's 3 grams of carbs and 12 grams of protein per 8 oz cup. Much better than protein drinks and actually just luscious. Tastes like a very rich chocolate milk. Dina

Hi LaDonna, I think you have every right to whine, this is a whole new lifestyle and until we adjust to that, we are going to be uncomfortable and we have whining rights I'll keep praying for you. Love, Betty

go ahead and whine. got any of those pain meds left...take one and go to sleep. At least you will be able to get some sleep and rest might help. And maybe the protein drink needs to be thinned down for a while. My nutrionist told us first 2 weeks liquid diet. Even oatmeal is to be real liquidy.

LaDonna! Martha has the best idea. When I get frustrated with it all and whiney, my husband picks up a pain pill and shoves it down my throat! It seems to stop the whining every time! Joy
