Watch a lap RNY

I got this link off of the main board last night. You can actually watch a laparascopic RNY done. It runs about an hour. I watched it last night and was fascinated by it. If you don't have RealPlayer, you'll need to download it first. There's a link for that on the hospital's website. WOW I'll definiitely check it out. Last night my 7 yr old asked if she could watch my surgery - she's very into medical stuff and now wants to be a doctor. I'll preview it and maybe, if I think she'll be ok with it, I'll let her watch it! mgm

I don't think it will be a problem for your daughter. It will probably ease any concerns she may have. When I watched it, I was comforted by how "matter of fact" the surgeon was in the whole process.
