First Weekers - Weight loss

This is sort a joke post for me. First, I was surprised that I did not weigh in at the hospital or weigh at any time during the time I was there. But I did weigh at home before and after. Keep in mind that I cheated on weight loss with a total hysterectomy including a softball sized fibroid (benign) tumor. They gyn joked that he will have given me more weight loss this week than my WLS. Well... total diffence in weight before and after..... 0! I can't quite figure that one. I've been off the IV since early Wednesday. I have not really eaten since last Friday. But when I saw Bethany post that she did not lose, I just had to post my exciting results too. Other first weekers want to share? Joy (3/1)

Your body is probably in shock from everything that just got done to it! It's like a Windows "Blue Screen" - everything just hangs for awhile until you reboot. When your body reboots, the pounds will start melting away! Linda - The Resident Witch

Not funny Rob--You're in danger of having to look for a new angel for that remark! I prefer the rebooting explanation! Right now I'm stuck on the blue screen of death (any other old NT users out there?) Joy

I stopped at calling it that, and opted for just Blue Screen.... Didn't wanna use the "D" word..... Linda - The Resident Witch

Maybe you are just retaining a lot of fluid, still from the IV's even tho they are out. Remember when you used to go on diets like W****chers, they always told you the first 10 pounds was always "water weight"? You could still be retaining your water weight. Hang in there, you know it will start coming off. Susan

Yep, no weight loss BUT if you took your measurements before surgery, try to take them again. Amazing thing, I took my measurements day before surgery... So.. I have not lost any off my stomach (it is extremely bloated so actually it was MORE then when I measured before surgery) HOWEVER, I lost 2 in off EACH arm and 2.5 in off each thigh to make a total of 9 in!!! I can not believe so soon. Bethany AKA Da Offishal Riddler 5 Days into NewPouch and feeling great! A riddle a day will keep the Marchers pounds AWAY!
