YAHOO is all i can say, I am home already and doing WONDERFUL!!! The pain is very minimal, havent needed any pain medicine all day. I have not had any nauseau, or any problems at all, except for the dumb jerk in the xray dept that wouldnt wait for my Surgeon to start the scan and had me start drinking and drinking the iodine stuff and then barrium as well. Needless to say, I was VERY miserable after that, felt like I ate three Thanksgiving meals, let me warn you it is just one sip that can put you over the edge of comfortable and exploding. My surgery took about 4 hours, my Dr chose to do all hand sewing, which takes considerably longer, but less scar tissue later, than to staple. He said it was a text book perfect surgery! And so far the recovery is going that way too. Will post again in a day or two, Best wishes to all my fellow March 1sters!!! Janelle

Awesome to hear from another firster. They shipped me home on the second and I was glad for that. I hate hospital beds. Hope to hear from you soon. I am learning so much about how to deal with this and it is not diffucult yet. Just a few minor mishaps with sugar intake and deit selection. How are you doing with that?

Hi Janelle, I am on the same schedule. Surgery 3/1 and home 3/3. I had a little problem with my xray tech as well. She wouldn't lend me a hand to get on or off the table. They took me on a guerney instead of a wheelchair which left me struggling to get up. All I could think was please don't let me herniate myself from pulling on my abdomen this way. Every day is making a difference comfort wise. Please let me know how you are doing as you try new things. My biggest problem at this point is trying to get everything in as well as drinking a good bit of water each day. Guess it will go smoother after a few weeks with the regiman. Best wishes to you.
