Did she have laparoscopic RNY in under 50 minutes? I find that hard to believe. I was told 3 to 5 hours and my surgeon is the chief surgeon at Univ. of Washington and he's done literally thousands of open RNYs and lots and lots of them laprascopically. I can't believe a lap was done in under an hour. That's incredible. Rob - caboose

Hey Rob - my surgeon told me the LAP RNY would be about 90 minutes, and he's done a zillion of these. Sure your surgeon wan't talkin about open? mgm 13 dtg

Everything I've heard is that open is a much quicker surgery. It's the lap that takes longer. caboose - t-28
