A great Poem --Thank you Martha, Sharon!
Martha led me to her surgery page which led me to the journal of Sharon Neva....who has a ton of wonderful stuff on her site--check it out.
But I really really liked this poem and since I am a "door closer" on many chapters of my life, it especially sits well with me. Enjoy!
Don't Look Back~
You're Not Going That Way
As you travel through life,
there are times when
decisions just have to be made.
When all you can do is gather
your courage and
choose a direction that
carries you toward a new dawn.
So take a step forward.
The process of change can
be tough but
think about the
excitement ahead.
There could be adventures
you never imagined
and wishes and dreams
just about to come true.
So keep putting one foot
in front of the other
and taking your life
day by day.
There's a brighter tomorrow
just down the road.
Don't look back-
you're not going that way!
I have a matted, framed lithograph of Mary Engelbreit's "Don't Look Back" painting. It's adorable...has a little gal in a straw hat, ribbon streaming, skipping up a road, as only Mary Engelbreit can capture. She's at a fork in a road, and on one fork there's a steet sign with an arrow pointing up the road, and the sign says "Your Life". The other road has the same kind of sign with an arrow, and it says "No Longer An Option".
I spent big money on that print when I moved into my house 5 years ago after living in my other home for 22 years. When I moved into this house, I knew I was making many life changes. I had NO idea what would be up the bend 5 years from then!

Sally, how are you? Don't know if you remember me but I remember you! Happy 4th anniversary - I'm contacting as many of our Marchers as I can to encourage everyone to post on their anniversary dates - share whatever you want to talk about - successes, failures, triumphs, tragedies - mostly, please tell us how you're doing with maintaining your weight loss. So many of us are struggling and I think all need a good talking to from each other, no matter where we're at in this journey - we're in this together, please, please check in on your anniversary date! Take care, Maureen
