I am scared after the surgery what will I do with myself. I eat now all the time when I am not hungry. I eat when I am bored, When I want not to be alone. I eat all the time. It has been my best friend for so long. OH MY GOD WHAT am I to do?

You will learn to enjoy other, more healthy avenues for comfort. You will enjoy taking walks and learning to exercise. You will have a tool (your pouch) that will help you learn that food is not the answer to your emotions. You will enjoy the benefits of weight loss and the inspiration that brings to you. I've heard just about everyone of us mourns food but the benefits outweigh the mourning. You'll be fine. Just trust in your ability and desire to have a healthy life. Rob - your caboose t-30

Julie, You'll do just fine, you will do all the things you can't do now because of the excess weight. You will have much more energy to get out there and exercise and just plain play and have fun. I'm praying for you. Love, Da Judge

What I like most about looking at the BEFORE and AFTER pictures on this sight is the activity levels change too. All the before pictures are sedendary, sluggish and tired and the after pictures show vacations, walking in the surf, skiing on the slopes, playing with children or posing! Oh yes, the poses show enthusiasm, and excitement....you will surely find something that is worth your energies...remember: Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels!

Julie you have the same feelings as I do. I'm one day before surgery and I'm worried that I won't adjust. I know that with my new tool it will be easy, I'm just going to find me a new friend, walking and sipping, they say walking and drinking plenty of water and sugarfree drinks will be our best assists for weight loss. So do like I'm going to do if I feel like I'm hungry I'm going to grab me a bottle of water and just fill that little pouch up.

Start thinking and planning what you will do now! So, your not wandering around and feeling lost pining away for food when the time comes. What have you always wanted to do? play a musical instrument... exercise... paint... needlepoint... crochet... stained glass... plant a garden... learn another language... volunteer... The bad news is.. Yes, you need a new hobby. The good news is...The possibilities are endless!!! Linda

Julie -- I've found thru life that sometimes those whom I thought were my friends weren't. It was heartbreaking to find out that one of my girlfriends only hung with me to meet a guy who I was very close with, etc. As we get older, we become more particular about who our friends are. Time to get a new friend - food wasn't it! And...while you're at it, get some new hobbies, too! I'm gonna...this is the beginning of a whole new life for me, and I'm GRABBING it!
