Inspiration!
With today being the start of March and much anticipation for ALL of us I thought it would be a good chance for each of us to give our favorite inspirational quotes. I, for one, am a HUGE fan of quotes and love to know what they mean to people. I know for me anyway, I'll take them with me on Friday. So, here's mine and what it means to me...
"I wish they would only take me as I am." By Vincent VanGoh
Even though my body will change dramatically, my personality wont. This quote, to me, means exactly what it says...
I also wanted to take a moment to thank all of you! Coming here over the last few months has been an escape, a learning experience, and so much more for me. I have support from friends and family but for some reason it just isn't the same as having support from people who know exactly what Im going through. I don't post much but read often and will take all of your experiences with me. I pray for each and every one of you just like yall did for me last week. Thanks again Marchers for making this journey fun, exciting, and inspirational!
I love you all!

I have 2 I like. I am a tea drinker and my internet business is "Tealady's Costume Parlour" and on my website I had this quote under my picture for awhile...author unknown
"Women are like teabags, they become stronger in ho****er!"
The other was a quote by Vince Lombardi: "Winners never quit and Quitters never win!"

GOOD topic! I'd dig out my Oxford Book of Quotations, and see which page is the most dog-eared, but I know what my favorite quotation is, and I happen to be looking at it right now. I'm leaving my position at work and taking a different one, so this week is "Clean Out The Office" week, and I took this off my bulletin board just before I left. Unfortunately, I don't know who the person is that's quoted...that part of the page was missing in the magazine I found this in. I says:
"Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying "I will try again tomorrow"."
This exemplifies me. I'm an overachiever by nature, an "A-type personality", and I quite often DO "roar". But there are areas in everyone's life that you just can't always roar, but where you need to remain tenacious. This is that quiet voice at the end of the day, it's my tenacity. I'm tenacious by nature, I never give up. But in the past 3-4 years, I have been 'tenacious' with my fibromyalgia as it's become progressively worse, and over the last 3 years, I've fought to remain employed (thank GOD for FMLA!!). It's that quiet voice at the end of my day that's said "I made it through today. I'll get up again and do it tomorrow, one foot after the other, one step at a time." All my doctors and I believe that WLS will at least lessen the pain and fatigue symptoms, and if this 'works' the way we suspect it will, I'll be roaring again post-op. But I couldn't have had this opportunity if I didn't listen to that voice at the end of the day in addition to giving it to God.
As for the MOST inspirational 'quote' that's ruled my life, it's found in the Bible, Romans 8:28. "For we KNOW that ALL things work together for good for those who love the Lord, and are called according to His purpose." No explanation necessary!
