Surgery cancelled

I am so dissapointed. I was scheduled for 3-2 and got bronchitis. I was hoping I could get rid of it in time but it is just not happening. I finally realized that this was beyond my ability to control and called to let my surgeon's office know that I was sick. I'm not sure when I will be rescheduled. I know they are booking surgeries about 8 weeks out right now but maybe I will be able to get in on a cancellation. So I may not be a "marcher" anymore but I have gotten a lot of support from this board and wanted to wish you all well.

Hey Jane -- I'm going through the same thing right now. I was scheduled for March 2, and now I have pneumonia!! I have had to reschedule mine, it is now going to be March 31. Hopefully yours will be soon, as well. I'll keep you in my prayers. Tammy

Jane... This just has to be heartbreaking for you. I've already had one delay (was supposed to have my RNY on Jan 28), but I knew there wasn't a thing I could do about it, and simply rolled with it. THAT is how I became a Marcher...and what a lucky break it ended up being for me! Doesn't matter WHEN you have your surgery, you'll ALWAYS be a Marcher. It's not a date, it's a state of being. So don't think you're not one of us - you are. And we don't ALLOW anyone to 'go away'...hehehe... So just get to getting better, and get rescheduled, and c'mon back when you get that date. We'll figure out some way to work it in with ours!! Kimmer Queen of the Niners, Instigator to All Marchers, High Priestess of Giggles Zero-minus-7 and 5 workdays!
