Krispy Kreme....before we all start getting neutered

Okay - I haven't had a lot of interest in doing "the last supper" thing but my friend went to the store yesterday and found someone who was selling KK donuts for a fundraiser (we don't have one here). So she brought some over and I tried them. They were good, but I realized we do have a place right here in town that has identical tasting donuts. So now I've had them, I don't feel like I'm missing out on so much. I wanted to try one forever! LOL! So now I'm sitting here this morning jonesing for a donut....waiting for DH to get up so he can do his duty! LOL! Dina ---sugar fiend that she is, is realizing that last supper doesn't hold near as much significance to her as last snackies...

Well someone brought KK donuts into Sunday School class this morning-- too late for me! I'm on clear liquids today. Sure am hungry too! I'm thinking the restricted post op diet may be just to get us to the point where even healthy food sounds like a treat!!! Joy

KK's are only good when you get them hot & fresh from the store... Alas, we no longer have KK stores around here anymore. Must've been run out of town by the bagel syndicate... FWIW, I won't miss donuts too much. I ate a couple of them last weekend, and felt absolutely ill afterward (darned insulin resistance!). Hugs, -Marcie

Oh yeah - I feel ill everytime I eat them too. Darned diabetes! But it doesn't stop me from having a sinful treat when I know I shouldn't. Dumping will be a great deterrant for me. Once I have the surgery I'll be in full low-carb mode though. I am actually pretty strong willed when I low-carb so I know it won't be a problem then, but I did feel like I wanted to imbibe a little today! I never have understood the mystique of KK donuts!! I think they are nasty unless they are a couple of days old and have some crunch to them!! LMAO .. I did get a slice of pizza today tho.
