My doc doesnt want a liquid diet. the ones that do do it is because it helps shrink you liver and makes it easier to work around.

Hey Sam:
First,,,Mo..I did the fleet phosphate stuff on Thurday night. All I can say is OMG. it made me so sick. The bathroom part was not the problem. It was the sick to my stomach when I had to drink it. I would suggest trying to find another kind of stuff to take. They told me yesterday there are other alternatives that will do the same job.

I have made notes should something happen to me. But I am single and had to let people know my wants and desires related to the cats, my insurance and my house. I still have a Power of Attorney form to sign. I also did the living will and Donor form. I am one who likes to be prepared. What i have done is nothing that my family would not do anyways. I just lets them know I agree.
The closer I get to surgery and find out information, the more confident I am in the surgery and my surgeon. With all the test that are being done before hand. everyone is doing the best they can to prevent or be prepared for anything. And that makes me confident too. Plus I am lucky that I do not have a lot of the Mobid Obesity problems others have. May that is why I am not so nervous. It seems everytime I go to the store I am picking up more things to have waiting for me when I get home. I got the applesauce today to use when taking my crushed meds. And I borrowed the shower chair that was at my sisters for when my mom visits. So I am looking forward to getting home. And going on with my journey.
Sam hun, I to am scared to death. I wrote letters, no one knows I did I put them in my dresser. I will tell my husband where they are the day of surgery. I know there is no easy way of saying good-bye and well it seems to be a soar subject in my home. So i dont say anything. But I do try and think positive about it. I see so many people everyday on this board come through just fine and a few who have some problems. But know god is with is every step of the way.
as for the liquid diet not to sure why that is, my doctor has me on one 5 days before surgery, i heard it has something to do with making the liver go down some.
I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery, my prayers are with you.
