MONDAY is the big day...

or at least that is what everyone keeps telling me... I went down and seen my doc yesterday and the Anesthia guy..I told them BOTH that I was NOT able to stop smoking..down to 5-6 a day but still smoking. Now get this..BOTH of them told me not to stop now..if I do I'll start coughing...they made me promise not to smoke 8 hrs prior to surgery. I can have coke all the way up to 7:00 am the morning of the surgery. AND can wear my makeup. MY suregon made me feel really great when he said that he has NEVER lost a patient and isn't gonna start now..he said that I"m too healthy to have any complicaitons...GOTTA love his confidence AND, get this....he stated that all his ability was from GOD..now that's really different. Most surgeon's think the are GOD, ANYhow, he made me feel really good even if there are complications, I know that either way ...I'm gonna be just fine. have a great Saturday MJ

Youll do great. i know alot of people who have had other types of surgery and smoked.the only thing i have never heard of anyone wearing makeup to surgery. i work in the medical feild and that seems weird. maybe to be on the safe side you shouldnt wear any. just a thought. good luck to you. we will be praying for you. I just want to wish you blessing from above on your wls day! Try to stay focused and remember to have a R.n. put a polled up blanket under your lower back! It will elieviate the pain from being in the same position during your surgery! Also go get a bag of baloons and start blowing them up , this is a wonderful excersize for your lungs....
