I am freaking out
I'm beginning to think a lot of people start getting sick before their surgery because of stress. I see so many people mentioning it. Anyway, I'm not a doc but I would try to rest, and have some chicken soup. If your ears start really aching, like you've got an ear infection, I'd say go to the ER. They can probably give you some antibiotics that will knock it out well before your surgery.
Hang in there Brad

Hey Brad,
I'm no expert here but I'll tell you what the nurse told me today when I did my pre-op stuff at the hospital. She said if you even THINK you are getting sick before your surgery go see your PCP because if you have something going on they will not do the surgery.
It's your decision, just wanted to pass along what they told me today at the hospital.

I know just how you feel. I'm scheduled Tuesday and seem to be developing a chest cold. I'm hoping that by some miracle the sx's will dissapear in the next 2 days. If not I will have to call and cancel. It will be so dissapointing. I am so ready for this. I have everything I could possibly need and have done everything possible to prepare for this. I've been replaced at work for a month and my sister took some time off her job to be with me. What's worse is they are scheduling surgeries 8 weeks in advance now - so I'm likely to have a long wait. Plus I work in healthcare and am constantly exposed to sick people so who knows, this can happen again.
