OT: Official Proposal
They say that if you have ever lived in Texas you will always be a Texan. I guess it's true. I was born there and haven't lived in Texas since 1969 and still claim to be a Texan.
Anyway, I think the Marcher community is the same way. There seem to be arising situations that may make people change their dates either into or out of March. Some of our Marchers never had a March date (Kathy!).
To me it does not matter. I hereby propose the following decree:
Once a Marcher, Always a Marcher.
Is there a second???
Joy "Canary"
I second that...ABSOLUTELY!
But...it's just a "given" to me! That's what we've been tellin' everyone all along.
Again, just to make it Offishal, Legal and Binding, I'll second that motion!

I Third it! I am going to share a little story with you. Actually I was a Marcher long before some of you may have been born. I only had one other MAJOR surgery and that was my hysterectomy, complete with ovary removal, fallopian tube, and appendix for good measure back in MARCH of 1981. I was a mere 39 years old when I prodded and prodded my GP doctor that something was terribly wrong with my menstrual bleeding...I had always had problems with amenorhea (absence of periods) but was fertile...had 3 kids in 3.5 years....but all of a sudden, by paying attention to my body and changes taking place I KNEW something was wrong. An endometrial biopsy, pap smears and common place exams all came up with nothing unusual...so I went in for a D&C and to everyone's amazement, especially the doctor, I had Stage I Uterine cancer! Talk about a bad time of life...I had just ended a 20 yr marriage, was turning 40 and had cancer.....but it was early, it was completely taken out with surgery and no follow up treatment was needed like chemo or radiation, so I am a cancer survivor and free still 23 years later.
This early hysterectomy, followed by intense and early menopause, probably was the onset of my weight problems, but at least I was alive.
So, anyway, MARCH was a lucky surgery month for me then as I know it will be now.
Just wanted to share.
