Phew! I finally have "official" authorization

Hi everyone-- I knew in my heart it was approved but started getting paranoid not having the "official" paper in my hot little hands....Well I have it and it says "Authorized Gastric By-Pass for Obesity" and approves a 3-day stay....yea! Now I can relax before I get nervous. I have my pre-op appointment set for 3/5 with my PCP and 3/10 with the surgeon for last week instructions. It is actually happening! Another question? Anyone here from Illinois? We never really did a roll call on states....someone e-mailed me the other day who will be in my same hospital and a day before me...I should locate her again and have her join the Marchers. Hi ya'll! I'm the 22nd and a resident of soggy Souhern California. Near as I can tell I'll be at Orange County Memorial (it says O.C.M. on the paper that they sent.) Dr. Whyte will be doing my surgery. He has just joined the staff at Light Demisions (s/p) that Dr. La Port heads. Congrats Sally, having that paper in your hand makes all the difference. I know when I got mine I cried bit fat (pun intended) alligator tears all over it. When we (my hubby went with me) went in for our class where we were told what to expect and stuff I cried just walking into the building. Then come to find out we were in the wrong building. That was O.K. though because I got to cry going into the second building too!

That is too too funny....I am emotional and cry alot too...but you are cute! Welcome to the Marchers board...we are all a little wacky here.

Hi LaTanya!!! At the top of the page you should see "Update your Profile" click it and I think it makes you sign in ( maybe not) but anyways look thru all of those little paragraphs for the one titled "General Info" and start typing after where you left off the last time!!!!
